ONE -TENS OVER KENT
By Nicolas Trudgian
600 Signed and Numbered

A totally new concept in aviation art from the creative studio of one the world's most innovative aviation artists.  Two prints issued together as a matching numbered pair, between them depicting a 3-minute time-frame following a specific Luftwaffe raid on RAF Biggin Hill in August, 1940.   In THE THRESHING PARTY, we gaze upon an idyllic Kentish countryside scene in southeast England with farmworkers, unaware of the approaching enemy raiders, peacefully threshing the summer harvest.  For these country folk the war could be a thousand miles away.   Captured in the second work, the principal painting for Nick's Time Frame Edition, he takes us forward three minutes in time with his rendering ONE-TENS OVER KENT.  With engines howling a group of ME110s and Me109s suddenly flash into view.  At full throttle the enemy aircraft hurtle at tree-top height across the landscape, the valley echoing with their thunder.  Instantly the peaceful rural scene is transformed;  faerworkers wuch for cover, dogs scamper in all directions, startled birds take to the air, and for a few frightening moments, chaos reigns.  Featured in ONE-TENS OVER KENT are the Messerschmitt Me110s and 109s of 210 Gruppe based at Calais-Marck, their target the RAF fighter station at Biggin Hill.  The date August 30, 1940.  Prints are signed by three Luftwaffe Me110 aircrew who flew during the Battle of Britain.
